• Full Dwell Compatibility: Re-engineered from the ground up to be 100% navigable via eye-tracking and head-tracking.

  • Scroll Assist: Dedicated on-screen buttons on all scrollable views completely eliminate the need for swipe gestures.

  • Frictionless Editing: A single-tap 'Edit' mode replaces difficult long-presses and swipes, making it effortless to reorder, pin, or manage Library entries.

  • Tap-to-Slide: Adjust speech rate instantly by simply tapping the tortoise and hare icons—no dragging required.

• Core Phrase Pack Expansion: A new "Library Expansion" section is now available in Data & Settings. Turning this ON instantly adds a dedicated category containing over 2,000 ready-to-use phrases. This pack is isolated and will not alter your existing personal library. You can speak the phrases directly from the pack, or tap the (i) button and assign a category to save any phrase permanently to your personal database.

• Dual Audio Output for Calls: You'll now hear your spoken text through your own device too, at a softer volume, so you always know exactly what the other person is hearing.

• Favorite Voices: A lightning-fast new menu to switch your favorite voices in an instant.

• Smarter Number Engine: A rebuilt speech engine that intelligently reads dates, times, measurements, and phone numbers naturally.

• Phrase History: A brand-new panel that saves your last 50 spoken phrases for easy access.

• Context Menu Updates: Long-press any custom button for a new:

  • "Send to Text Box" option. Maybe you want to make a temporary edit to a saved phrase and then speak it.

  • “Paste from Text Box” option. Now with a couple of taps you can create a custom button with the text in the text box.

• Text Flexibility: You can now copy the text from any custom button and paste it in any text field on your device. Great for adding text to a partially typed phrase.

• Text Protection: Fixed a state issue where pausing and canceling an Instant Phrase Button would accidentally clear your typed text in the main box. Your typed text is now completely safe when you cancel a custom button!

• Refined UI Controls: Out with the old switches, in with modern toggle icons. Tap the new Auto-Speak and Edit icons to enable them (the icons will visually highlight when active).

• Pause Button Placement: The pause button has been unified across the app. When speaking, it will now appear perfectly centered on both the main screen and all Custom Button pages.

• Speech Rate Slider: This control has been moved to Data & Settings, featuring a wider slider for much greater precision and control.

• Visuals: Updated the Speech Rate slider with tortoise/hare icons. Tapping the icons will adjust the slider.

• Instant Privacy Wipe: Added a one-tap Eraser icon to the main screen to perform a frictionless Privacy Wipe.

• Instant In-App Help: Added tap-friendly (i) info buttons next to the Auto and Edit icons, instantly explaining their features without the user ever having to guess or leave the screen.

• Voices: Added new requested voices.

• Fluid Adaptive Resizing: The app’s layout has been completely optimized for fluid, dynamic resizing, ensuring a perfect, accessible experience across all current and future Apple device screen sizes.

• Smart Library Scrolling: When opening the Library, the category ribbon will now automatically scroll to ensure your last-used active category is perfectly visible on screen, adapting seamlessly for smaller screens.

• Refreshed Layout: A cleaner, modernized look for your custom buttons and main screen.

Will this mess up my device? Not at all! You do not need to be running a beta version of iOS to participate. This beta app runs perfectly and safely on your current iPhone, iPad, or Apple Silicon Mac right alongside your other apps.

Important: Before You Update Because this is beta software, there is always a small chance of a crash or reset during testing. Please protect your custom buttons! Before you tap the link below, open your current version of Talk For Me, go to Data & Settings, and tap Backup Data and Upload to iCloud.

How to Join the Beta:

1. Download the free TestFlight app from the Apple App Store.

2. Click the button below from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

3. Tap "Accept" and then "Install" to overwrite your current version with the beta.

Speed & Daily Workflow

• Customizable Quick Buttons: Keep your 12 most essential phrases on the main screen, with four additional pages just a swipe away. Long-press any button to instantly drag, drop, edit, copy/paste or clear its content—giving you a perfectly tailored speech board in seconds.

• Custom Page Titles: Personalize your custom button pages with your own titles for better organization and faster communication.

• Hardware Keyboard Support: Navigate the app at lightning speed. iPad and Magic Keyboard users can utilize native shortcuts (Cmd + F, Cmd + 1, etc.) to search, navigate, and speak without touching the screen.

• Intuitive Speech Controls: Easily pause your speech mid-sentence. On the main page, a convenient Cancel button instantly appears, giving you the immediate choice to seamlessly resume speaking or clear the board to type your next thought.

• Smarter Number Pronunciation: No need to type awkward commas into long sequences like phone numbers, zip codes, or IDs. Just type the numbers naturally, and the voice engine will automatically insert human-sounding pauses!

• Seamless Audio Ducking: No need to manually pause your music, YouTube videos, or podcasts to say something. The voice engine will automatically lower your background media volume while your phrase is spoken, and instantly return it to normal when you are done.

• Unlimited Storage: Save as many phrases as you need. Just swipe left on the main screen to access your library instantly—perfect for pre-loading sentences before a doctor's appointment or meeting.

• Custom Categories: Instantly find the right words when you need them. Filter your saved phrases using category chips, and easily rename up to four of them in Settings to perfectly match your daily routine (Default: All, General, Personal, Phone Calls, Smart Home, Temp).

• Lightning-Fast Search: Finding a specific saved phrase is now effortless. Use the new search bar right in your Library to instantly filter your list as you type.

• Direct Phrase Entry: We’ve streamlined how you save. Tap the + button to add new phrases directly into your Library database without having to type them out in the main window first.

Privacy, Security & Data Management

• Secure Privacy Wipe: Typing sensitive information? Shake your device (or use a two-finger tap) to permanently wipe the text window. Power users with a keyboard can use Cmd + K. Unlike the standard Clear button, this gesture bypasses the temporary "Undo" memory entirely, ensuring your private data stays private.

• iCloud Sync & Restore: You asked, we listened! Seamlessly upload your custom buttons, archives, and settings to iCloud. Download them instantly to a new iPhone or iPad to keep your devices perfectly in sync.
